J.J Abrams was put to a really difficult task.
And that was to revive the saga from Rian Johnsons fatal destruction of the last jedi.
This is with out a doubt the best movie in the trilogy if not one of the best of them all, and I would as a hardcore SW-fan recommend it to anyone who has doubts going to the cinemas.
PROS:
* Story - much sith lore big thumbs up.
* They have manage to make it fun, but with the glimt in the eye.
* Much old and new locations, you are able to feel familiar with the locations, and appreciate the new locations in the movie.
* Again - much sith lore.
* Awesome lightsaber duels, and force battles.
* Awesome space/aerial combat
* in total, it feels like Star Wars, the whole movie does.
CONS:
* You are jumping in to the story a couple of year/months after the battle of crait from the ending in the last jedi.
* Good story, but in some way it feels forced, since they only had one movie left to save the saga with.
* The movie would have been a 10/10 if Rian Johnson had not destroyed the previous movie, which made it so much harder to finish the story.
Summary:
You must see it, if you are one of the people who do not appreciate more content in the Star Wars, I am afraid that nothing will sufficy for you.

Dear anyone wanting to make a trilogy. The Star Wars sequels should teach you a lesson Have a roadmap. Don't just pose questions you don't know the answer to. Know how you are going to start and how you are going finish and the trilogy wide arcs that go throughout them. Have a singular creative force behind it. They don't have to write every word and direct every movie. The Star Wars original trilogy didn't, but Lucas was always the singular force behind it. Think of it as a TV showrunner. Star Wars Rebels tells a more cohesive story over four seasons than the sequel trilogy because Dave Filoni was the creative force behind the show. If you don't do this you could get a movie which is a retelling of an old movie and full of fan service, then a movie that just thinks the fans are stupid for liking what they do, then a burning dumster fire that acts as an apology for the movie before it while also undoing important story beats from decades prior for no apparent reason.

This movie had no explanation for any fantastical events and they were just plugged into the plot, like a bandaid on a sinking boat. This movie was so confused, caused more questions than answers and tried introducing last minute characters, which was a huge waste of time. As worse of an ending to GOT and Lost, and Fringe (later 2 J.J. Abraham's babies. This was like a really bad ending to a bad Star Wars video game. I thought the previous Last Jedi was a decent movie but this one is total garbage. Massive plot holes, no flow to the story and wasted cop outs to convoluted concepts they introduced. Huh? Exactly! A painful watch. Sad to see a saga end this way; I'm a huge fan of all previous Star Wars movies.
